iXBRL

As the effects of MiFID II ripple through the financial markets, corporates are well advised to explore the uses of iXBRL as a business differentiator and to prepare now for the changes to the regulatory landscape in 2020 where mandatory reporting via iXBRL will become a reality.

“All annual financial reports shall be prepared in XHTML which can be opened with standard web browsers and can be prepared and displayed as intended by the issuer.”

What does this mean to issuers?

Annual financial reports will need to be labelled using iXBRL tagging. By 2020 a limited set of tags are mandatory. By 2022 the full taxonomy is to be implemented.

Ince is already helping clients and regulators with taxonomies in two other active iXBRL jurisdictions and is now collaborating with ESMA to establish an integrated approach for filing HTML and iXBRL here in Europe.

However this is only half of the story…

Our unique iEdit platform not only allows you to design, tag and publish, users can also interrogate and leverage the nuanced financial and non-financial data patterns hidden within iXBRL.
